Sooo im currently in Panama city, and when researching for the trip i was under the impression that requirements for Yellow fever jabs were needed for when entering the Amazon regions of countries etc, and was loosely controlled when entering/leaving countries in S.America ...
I can only speak for Brasil when I went to Venezuela. The airport there should have a place for the shot but I was told that you needed it 10 days before you enter or they wont let you in. Im not 100% sure, but you should check it out ASAP.
Over here "Yellow Fever" is totally different and is actually a bit of a racist term applying to men who are smitten by the charms of Asian girls.
I was really shocked when I saw your post but relieved you're just trying to find some info on vaccinations.
I didn't get asked once for a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate and I border-hopped a fair bit, which is lucky as I left it in England. As long as you don't look like a bum you shouldn't have difficulties, however it's best to get an injection anyway. If you get sick your travel insurance maybe invalid because you didn't take all the necessary precautions. Try and find a half-decent clinic though, I've never been there but I can imagine some of the hospitals and clinics in Panama aren't the most hygienic places on earth...
