Hello...I am traveling in Vietnam and plan on visiting Hoi An as well as HCMC. I have a long list of things I must do and see in HCMC although I am looking for some ideas in Hoi An.
I was in Hoi An last summer, june i think. Absolutely gorgeous little town, it was one of my favourite places in Vietnam! We did a tour of the My Son ruins from there and it was very interesting.....though if you are heading to Cambodia obviously Angkor Wat is more impressive but My Son is more in ruins than Angkor.
With regard to the shops, you will not be stuck for choice that's for sure! My advice would be to shop around. A lot of the places will be offering the same styles etc but do have a good look around before you commit to one for sure. Haggling will get you better deals. My brother had a suit made in Yaly and it was amazing! Measured at 2pm, had a fitting at 9pm! It was ready for collection the next day. Very helpful staff, and the product was amazing at the end! It is more expensive than the smaller stores though.
