So I'm currently in Sydney with my Boyf on WHV. We're both working until April for def then we'll try pick up more work. THe plan originally was work until June then Travel the East Coast in July, maybe stop in South America on way home and land back in Ireland mid Aug.
However, we're loving it here at the mo. We spent four weeks in Nz and loved that even more. Our Visa is up in Oct and we're currently considering either getting the second year or applying for a NZ visa...
I would definitely recommend getting your working holiday visa for NZ, especially as you have been here already and loved it. NZ did have a recession which Australia didn't, but I think the job market is ok now; I don't know many people who have struggled to find a job or who are out of work. If you head for Queenstown you should be able to pick up casual/seasonal work fairly easily.
I came to NZ on a working holiday over 6 years ago (albeit with a stint back home in between) and am still enjoying it over here.
If you did end up wanting to stay in NZ long-term it's reasonably easy to do so if you have a job offer or if you have a shortage skill.
