Hi
The only permanently warm place you will find in December, night and day, is The Canary Islands.
Pretty much as warm as Florida all year round, give or take a few degrees or so either way.
Yes, the Canary Islands. The best bargains have gone already as it is high season there. Tenerife is very busy. Los Cristianos area isn't bad. Gran Canary is quieter and has a huge beach in Maspalomas. Lanzarote quieter still, not much in the way of beaches, things to do. The other islands are quieter still. There is also Madeira which is fairly small and gets busy when the cruise ships arrive.
If you are coming from outside of Europe it might be difficult to find cheap flights to the Canary Islands for you. In this case I have the following alternatives for you:
If you are willing to chance it I can recommend Sicily (Italy), Andalucia (Spain) and Antalya (Turkey). There you can expect temperatures to be between 5-20 C / 40-68 F and it will be either pleasantly sunny or a torrent of rain. It will be too cold for a swim at the beach, but you could do plenty of sightseeing.
Turkey during this time would be best done with a package deal booked in either Germany, UK or the Benelux countries. Since it is the low season there are often special promotional offers (sponsored by the Turkish Ministry of Tourism) where you only have to pay for the flight and get the hotel with full board for free. Often there are also some guided tours included into the package.
For Sicily and Andalucia I would grab a budget flight and then rent a car and stay in some local pensions or such.
But if you want sun and beach I would like to point you to Egypt. The Red Sea coast will still be warm enough for a swim around Christmas, especially the southern regions around Hurghada and Safaga.
Hi......... I cant suggest you about any warm Places but if you are planning for vacation with your family please visit resorts of Kyrenia & Famagusta, Northern Cyprus its in Turkey and one of the finest place to visit for.
Might I suggest the south of spain. Andalucia is lovely in the winter time and its not to hot or cold. You could go to Sevilla as there is loads to see and do. You can go to the cathedral and Giralda , The Alcazar caste and gardens, Maria luisa park, the torre del oro, barrio santa cruz and the old jewish quarter, and plaza de toros de la teal maestranza. Not only that once in Sevilla you can easily catch trains to see other beautiful parts of Andalucia. Train tickets from Sevilla to Cordoba is 20 euros, Sevilla to Granada is 18 euros, Sevilla to Madrid are 52-65 euros, and to Malaga is 14 euros.
Hi skant,
As others already suggested, Canary Islands would be the first choice, Sicily, south of Spain, Marmaris (i love this place) in Turkey or Antalya.
Have a great time

Hi....
I live in Lanzarote in the Canary Islands and would definately recommend it as a winter destination. I have been at the beach today, and the temperature now (7pm) in the evening is 24 degrees.
Lots to see and do
Andrea in Lanzarote
Ciao Skant!
I would recommend Sicily, its brilliant time at winter here, real Italian atmosphere, excellent food, quite affordable prices.
It is important to know the place, because not all towns are so attractive - my advice - got to Cefalu'. It has a lot of history and things to discover yourself. I also learned Italian language there in a private school.
