Travel advice/Info

Hey guys!

Hey girls, I thought you were the ones supposed to be giving travel advice!

Anyway the gold coast is chaos at the moment because of schoolies (the end of school celebration for school leavers) but there's plenty to do there. You could always check out the theme parks in the area, there are a few on the main highway. On your way up don't forget to drop in at the big banana and take a photo of the map of "big things" in Australia, you might be able to include them in your videos. Also check out Byron Bay, it's an interesting place with a very relaxed vibe. For new years you might have been better off staying in Sydney, it tends to be one big party.

Anyway if you need any more advice, send me a message.

I wonder what the out of school dudes are doing... lol,
there probably would be a lot of parties... I definitely would love to take pictures of those parties, specially beach parties... its like spring break in US...

Thanks guys!

TT - we definitely love giving advice but we've learnt that the best advice comes from fellow travelers such as yourself! Jill and I have heard great things about The Steve Irwin Zoo, Dracula's in Broadbeach, Surfing in Surfers, we got the scoop on a couple of bars mainly Melba's as the Surfers "staple". As for the Schoolies, ya their a bit of a pain, and we've heard they arrested over 97 people or something like that in the first week for fights!

Ahhhh to be young and invincible again eh?

If you go to Australia Zoo (Steve Irwin Zoo) try to catch one of the live shows they put on in the pavilion, when I was there Terri and Bindi Irwin did the show with live birds and crocodiles. There isn't a huge range of animals in the zoo, but most people go to see the crocodiles, right?
