Email confirmation gender error

Hi, Ive booked a holiday to Turkey with a low cost company who have confirmed my booking by email. However my son has been put down as a 'Miss' on the confirmation. I rang the holiday company and they assured me that it would not make any difference as when i received my air tickets our titles would not be on them. I could however change him from a 'miss' to a 'mister' with the holiday company but there would be a charge of £50. Can anyone out there tell me if I can leave things as they are or should I be changing his title to be on the safe side? Or does anyone know of any official body that can advise me? I m pannicking in case we arrive at the airport and he is refused boarding. many thanks.

Hi,

I work for a company that actually book flights and you have to change the gender unfortunately as worst case scenario you will not be allowed to board and this does often happen. My mum recently was accidently put down as a Mr and she wasnt allowed to fly and had to buy a new ticket at the airport for a later flight meaning all her travel companions got there first.
Its £50 to change it which might seem like a lot but its a lot cheaper than paying out for a new flight!

Hope this helps,

Sophia

I also work for a small flights agency.
Rest assured, this wont be a problem. As long as his name is right on the passport - you'll be fine.
For the last two weeks, Easyjet has had options, when filling in the passenger name form - of only. M, Mme, or Mselle. We have been in touch with them about it and they said it is a small glitch and would make no difference.
It happens from time to time, just as a Miss - rather than a Mrs. is on the ticket/e-ticket etc.
Don't worry about it, it'll be just fime.
