How do I get from Zagreb, Croatia to Timisoara, Romania?

I cant seem to find any information anywhere on how to get from zagreb to timisoara. I do not see any bus/train routes. Can anyone shed some insight on how to travel to these two cities?

Without diving head first into a mountan of train timetables (forget the buses - they'll take forever), I would suggest getting the train from Zagreb to Budapest (direct) and changing in Budapest. From there you can get a train to Oradea and onward to Timisoara. I'm sure there are quicker routes, but I've done this one (fwd from Athens with a change in Zagreb) and it's a lovely ride up the side of the huge and beautiful Lake Balaton.
If you're not in a hurry and like a bit of sightseeing (this sounds like a holiday, after all), budget airline Wizzair go from Zagreb - Dortmund and Dortmund - Timisoara. I haven't checked the schedules or costs, but I doubt it'll work out any more expensive than the train(s) and even with an overnight in Dortmund (which you might not have to do, I haven't looked), it'll probably be quicker than the train(s).

Ditto! That's the perfect route.
