I'm surprised to see nothing on this already,what are the chances of catching any live premier league games in and around asia for next years season,thanks
I am also interested in this, as i wouldnt mind watching the Toon take 6 points off Everton next season while i am away.
One option ive been doing mate, is just going to google and searching for 'Sports Bars' in every place i am going to, most the major places do have atleast a couple and a lot of the lesser known places even have some as well.

I don't think you will have any problems finding somewhere to watch games - the premier league (and football in general) has a big following in most Asian countries. I was in China last year and had no problems finding somewhere to watch premier league games and in the past I have watched some while travelling in Thailand. Cambodia and Laos should be fine too, unless you are in the really remote places, but in the cities and larger towns I think you would be able to find somewhere showing the games.
I was in SE Asia during the last world cup; the coverage was about as comprehensive as it would be in the UK, and everyone was keenly filling in their wallcharts!

I read some blogs earlier about Laos and a few of them said there were sports bars showing the prem, and going by what bex said its pretty promising!
I just cant wait to be sitting in a bar somewhere hot with a beer in hand, watching the Toon (probably lose), need nothing more to life than that ...chuck a Thai massage in as well actually n your sorted.

Vang Vieng is probably your best bet for catching the football in Laos - the main street is full of bars with big screens, normally showing episodes of Friends!

when are you leavin for thailand?
I'm leaving on the 1st December, flying into Kuala Lumpur. Going to a few places in Malaysia 1st probably for about 15 or so days, then Island hopping from Langkawi, Malaysia up through some of the Thai Islands to Phuket and then heading over to Ko Phangan, Ko Samui and Ko Tao.
Planning to be in Thailand for New years (not sure where abouts yet though).
What are your plans?
my tickets booked for november but im lookin to change it to the end of sept,start of oct,i fly to thailand but head straight to vietnam then laos,cambodia then back to thailand for the beaches,parties etc then over to OZ for christmas and new year
