London Stansted Airport - coach connections

I arrive at London Standsted Airport at 7am in a few days time and was wondering what to do about a coach connection.

Mmmm. Not the easiest destination to get to in a straight line.
Quite honestly, your best bet would be to get the train from the airport to Swindon, via Central London.
There are advance fares available for less than €20. I don't think any UK coach company would be much cheaper and they'll all to take longer.

Here are two links to the train and coach options....

As you can see, the train works out cheaper and quicker.
Both coach and train trips involve a change en-route.

For some reason, two sites won't copy and paste today.

By the way.. There are plenty of ATM's at Stansted. It's the UK's 4th largest airport - after Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester.

Cheers for the links.

I checked the prices for the train and a ticket from Stansted to Swindon costs 52 pounds 70 pence (seems to be a fixed price as all 16 trains on the day I want are the same price) so I think I'll stick to the coach.

Do you know if the coach will be the same price on the day as on the internet, i.e. 28 pounds? Just cos I don't want to buy my ticket in advance if possible in case my flight is delayed, so buying a ticket once I arrive at the airport would be the safer option.

The cheap train tickets are only available if booked in advance. On National Rail Enquiries, there are fares on their website for £12 single if booked in advance.
As far as the coaches are concerned, I don't know too much about their rules and regs - as I rarely use any coach other than Megabus.

Weird. Yesterday every train ticket was coming up at 52 pounds 70 pence. I even checked the prices weeks in advance and they were all 52 pounds 70 pence (apart from one early morning ticket I found which was 56 pounds). Then today when I checked the prices had gone up to 64 pounds.

So then I tried virgintrains.co.uk and thetrainline.com and they've got train tickets for a bargain 13 pounds 50. Then when I go back to nationalrail.co.uk they're also showing the 13.50 tickets as well. Dunno if the internet settings in this internet cafe are maybe dodgy or something.

Anyway, cheers for your help. Only problem now is the tickets are for a fixed time (with no refund) so if my flight is delayed I miss out, so I'll see what I decide.

Not sure if it helps but check out the 'funfare' by National Express. You need to have a fixed date, however it's upgradable with terms where you have to pay the difference.
