Hi,
I was worried about this too the first time I went to Asia and I have never ever been asked! Nobody at any airport or border has ever requested this information from me. I think its because the majority of tourists do exactly the same thing, they are all travelling in and out of Asian countries. I did print off a copy of possible flights that i could take home so that if asked I would have something to show them to prove that i was going to leave the country eventually but as I said they have never been requested and I have spent the best part of the last 5 years travelling around Asia so I wouldn't worry.
