Survivng the cold

Hey everyone

Where in Europe, and exactly when would you be there?

Like post#2 says, whereabouts in Europe? In Southern Spain and Greece during the winter it's possible to swim in the sea on Christmas day, same as in Australia. However, in Ukraine and Norway it can get down to in excess of below -30c.
Big place - Europe, much larger than Australia.

I think pretty much anywhere in Europe over winter you're gonna need waterproofs, scarf, gloves and maybe a hat. Colder parts of Europe you'll probably want more than this, like additional layers of thermals, warm shoes/boots etc. Have fun!

I think your fellow countreyman expresses it well !!!

Alternatively do what I did and buy a good coat

Hi Tappy - I am from Australia and my suggestion is don't take winter clothes from home - buy basic when you arrive cause we just don't have the warmth in our clothing went to Canada in the winter and threw all our clothes out and bought local and survived - good warm clothes are also cheaper including good winter jackets even the jeans are thicker
have a great time -
