I'm backpacking through Europe this summer and originally I had a flight from Munich to Pisa planned. However, it was just cancelled, and now I have to plan an alternate means of transportation to get to italy. I'd prefer to get some sort of transportation to Pisa so that I don't have to alter my itinerary too much, but Milan would work as well. I was wondering if anyone could offer some low-cost suggestions as to how to rearrange my transportation from Munich to Italy?! An overnight bus would be great, but I'm not sure how easy those are to come by. Low cost airline? I have a Eurail pass but just a 3 country Italy-Germany-Switzerland. Since I have to travel through Austria to go between Munich and Italy, that pass won't work.
Ryanair flies from Memmingen (Munich West) to Pisa, or is that the flight that was cancelled? There are some more expensive airlines who fly that route. Don't leave it too late as seats are already filling up.
yes, that is the flight that was cancelled. do you know any alternate ways that i can get to italy? i don't mind the fact that i have to go through austria, it's just that i can't use my rail pass for that so i have to pay full price for a train ticket if i travel via train. i'm looking for the cheapest means possible. thanks!
