So we can give you the best advice, could you give us a little more information please. How long do you plan to be travelling for, what sort of things are you interested in seeing etc. The countries you've listed have enough to keep you busy for months, but your itinerary will really depend on what you want to get out of it. For example, I notice you've listed a couple of specific events - if you're mainly wanting to experience the various festivals etc in Europe, let us know the dates for your trip too, so people can tell you what's happening where and when.

I will be on a 2 year working visa starting next year starting about March. I was planning on working, March, April & May and then plan on travelling till maybe september till the oktoberfest.
I had planned to see italy, greece in middle of june and july mostly the islands in greece.
Also, what is the best way to get from Spain to italy? Bus, Train or Fly?
I haven't worked out my exact itinery as yet being like 9 months away before i'm travelling. I just wanted a to know what was roughly on so that I could check it out on the net and do some research. Any other countries that you might think I would be interested in.
Just some general sightseeing aswell.

In general this depends on your requirement for the trip - ie cheapest / quickest etc and will also depend a bit on your departure point in Spain and where you want to get to in Italy. Flying would obviously be quickest, and there are a number of low cost airlines operating routes between Spain and Italy. These include, but are not limited to Vueling (Spanish), Meridiana (Italian) and Easyjet (although UK based they do have a couple of direct routes from Spain to Italy). It may be worth checking them out to get an idea of prices, but bear in mind low cost airlines are usually only low cost if booked fairly far in advance and you may also need to take into account extra costs (such as checking luggage into the hold).
I can't help re buses and trains, as I haven't used them for that route. Although, if I were in your position I would probably take the train and stop off to take in some of the south of France on the way. If this is the best option for you will depend on how quickly you need to get from A to B.
It's not entirely clear from your post, but given you're working in May, plan to be in Italy in June and want to get from Spain to Italy, I'm guessing that you'll be working in Spain which will then be your starting point for travelling.

This is a global events guide, but you can filter by country / city etc. It's fairly comprehensive - as well as weird and wonderful festivals. it also lists sports events, concerts, exhibitions etc.
