Election Year in the Philippines

We are planning to go to the Philippines next year however its an election year. Does anybody know if its safe to go next year? What we're worried about is getting caught in the possible protest that will prevent us from traveling around manila.

It is safe to go to the Philippines even during the election year especially if you're just planning to travel around Manila. Election hotspots are usually from provinces far away from the capital city.

there are no politics on the beaches of Boracay!!!!!!!!! You will be fine. Stick to the usual travel advice. If you are really worried then just avoid travel in the few weeks run up to the election.

I don't know where peoples get the idea the Philippines isn't safe! I travelled extensively in the Philippines and never felt unsafe, not in Manila at 4 AM in the morning and even not in Mindanao, the so called unsafe region in the Philippines...
So what I want to say is: enjoy your trip in this fantastic country, and once you've been there, you'll return!

Yep,I agree with Yvekes....There wouldnt be any problem while traveling to philippines even during elections.
So plan a great trip.
