Depends if you are more into nature or cities.
I haven't been to all of the US, so it's difficult not to be biased.
Anyway, regarding cities surely San Francisco is a great one. And that brings me to possible states: try California, Utah and Arizona for nature, maybe with a side trip to Las Vegas in Nevada.
Don't know how long you have but budget about 3 weeks of this, little less maybe, but not less than 2 weeks.

I would like to see the "real" us ( i know theres probably not that kind of thig as "real" U.S and that every state is different) but i would like to get a little overview of U.S
I would like to vist some museums but driving around with the bus (guied tours) is not what i am looking for.I would rather ask a local people to show me around :D.No offence to the people who like guided tours.

Best thing you can do is rent a car and explore a few cities, rural america, some small towns and national parks. It's all real and it gives you maximum freedom.
Don't know if there are certain websites that have like local people who will show you around, but that's the closest you will get experience people. They are all friendly, much friendlier compared to other western countries in fact, but just in a superficial way.
Best to really have friends/relatives in the US if that's what you are up to.

I would visit New York since it is the pulse of America, and possibly the world.
Then I would Visit Washington DC because it is what the USA is all about,
Then I would visit Charleston, SC. since it is possibly the prettiest Town in America and is representative of the best people in the USA.
New Mexico, specifically north-central region around Santa Fe. A summer visit will yield mild temperatures due to altutude. Fly into Albuquerque and rent a car.
This region has some of the oldest history in the US (Albuquerque goes back over 300 years). You will find Santa Fe and Taos to be both beautiful and artistic oriented. Driving north from Santa Fe towards Colorado through the region where the late painter Georgia O'Keefe resided at Ghost Ranch will yield stunning landscape vistas. Bring a camera.
There is a large indigenous American population that reside on sovereign pueblos with some having museums. Due note, for cultural reasons a lot of these tribes do not approve of their photograph being taken, so always ask for permission out of respect.
A visit to this part of the American Southwest will yield a rewarding and satisfying travel experience. The New Mexico state travel and tourist office can help in your planning.
There is no one answer to this difficult question - we are all prejudiced by our own interests. I think you should pick 3 states in different regions of the country: East, West and South (sorry Midwest!) This is my choice:
East - Maine
West - Washington
South - Louisiana
(above all, I think you want to avoid the crowds in California, New York and Florida)

Thats a bit of a narrow minded view of two really great places. Not only the excitement of the citys, but very close at hand in Vegas you have Hoover dam, lake Mead and some amazing national parks. Orlando is a short ride to the coast, and Daytona, and historic St Augustine, or again amazing state parks and natural springs.
