Looking to take the family ,2 adults and 2 kids (13 and 11 at time of travel), to either Phuket or Koh Samui. It seems that most hotels only allow a maximum of 3 guests per room. Can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel or resort, reasonably priced, that will accomodate a family of 4 in a room (or villa, apartment, bungalow). Haven't decided which of the locations we'll go to yet so any recommendations on that are greatly appreciated. Want to stay somewhere away from the ratrace, so pretty quiet, but not entirely isolated from civilisation.

Is self-catering on Koh Samui an option. There is a villa for rent that looks feasible. Is it easy to get around; rental car/taxis/what else? Are there shops to buy cornflakes, milk and coffee so we can make our own breakfast?
Try the Ibis at Bophut in Samui, they do family rooms and are in a great location on the beach.
Well I have stayed at Phuket Two Oxy Villa @ Nai Harn beach (white Sand), Grocery shops like 7 are near by, apart from that they used to give morning breakfast as you would like it. Check those out hope it will fit in to your budget.
