Why so long in Tokyo?
Tokyo's a fantastic city, but with so much to see in the country it seems like such a waste of time to spend so long in one city - unless of course you have something specific to do there, like visit friends or work or something.
My next tip would be to skip Osaka and spend time in more interesting parts of Japan, such as the Alps (Nagano and Gifu), Hiroshima, Kobe, Himeji, Fuji etc...
www.sawanoya.com - a great Tokyo Ryokan for international travellers. I stayed there with partner and children. Friendly and authentic.
Consider a couple of days in Hiroshima. Objectively an unremarkable city, but one which has a permanent place in human history. The Peace Museum is a full day.
Ofc ill travel around but my JR Railway pass gets valid after 2,5 weeks so ill stay in Tokyo for that period of time. A friend of mine who lives in Japan will visit me a couple of times in Tokyo too.
I will go to Kobe, Kyoto, Yamaguchi and Osaka too and some daytrips around Hiroshima and Fuji. So ill be traveling, only the first 2,5 weeks are Tokyo Since its my first time in Japan and for such a long period of time i guess ill like to get to know Tokyo so that when i go back to Japan ill know what to do there (since i have to travel next time with my 2 best friends there haha)
Hi , I'm glad to hear that you're interested in Japan because I'm Japanese & live , work in Tokyo.
You've already known that you must not take trains between 8 and 9 a.m on weekdays.
It's right.
You don't worry about it on weekends.
But I have to say , July & August are too hot & humidy.
I'm worry about that.
Can you visit Japan in Spring or Autumn ?
Is it difficult ?
I recomend Hakone area & Nikko area also.
Hiroshima.....Please visit there.
We have to keep peace !!
Please check it out
