NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC'S CHOICE OF 25 BEST NEW TRIPS FOR 2010

National Geographic has named 25 countries around the world as "must see" places for 2010, among them Bhutan, Bolivia, Botswana, Costa Rica, Iceland, Ireland, Kenya, Laos, Nepal, the Philippines, Slovakia, and Sri Lanka. Topping the list is, however, Peru, especially the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco.

Although I have to say I always like those lists, whether it be NG or from Lonely Planet, I am always a bit surprised as well. I could randomly name 25 others and I guess it comes down to your own interest. I am not going anywhere because it's on a list. I'll probably would rather avoid it haha.

I just go where I want and I hope others will do the same of course
Lonely Planet tipped Istanbul as one of the 2010 cities to visit...It could have been on a list for the last 10 years as well.

But again: always nice those lists, especially for reading.
