Possible, but you won't really get a feel for the places you are trying to visit. I spent that much time in Argentina alone. That would be like trying to see an area twice as big as europe in that much time and the transport isn't as easy and the distances between places you'll want to see are bigger.
South America is huge, two and a half times the size of continental USA, you should go to Mr. Google and find a Consolidator that specializes only in Latin Travel and can arrange air tickets, multi city stops, along with tours and ground transportation, once I took buses and trains from Colombia to Argentina and even though I was younger then, was totally exhausted on arrivals after 20, 30, 40 and 50 hour bus or train rides.
