I'm English so lived in England most my life, but I have also been living in Canada for the past 3 years, now I'm living in Wellington! So lived in all the places you're talking about.
Where about in Canada are you going? East coast or west? I have been all over but lived in Vancouver for a few years so know the west coast very well....

I will be staying in Vancouver. I have organised a day-trip to Whistler, but that's really all I have done at this point. Any suggestions on what else is good to do?
In England I am mostly staying in Bath, but am travelling around a little. How do you like Wellington after the other places you've been?

Vancouver is my home-away-from home! Not only is it a truley amazing city full of art and theatre and sweet coffee shops, but it's quite beautiful and has a killer night life. If you're looking to learn something, I'd suggest a walking tour, or a late-night ghost tour, and there are tons to choose from. The museums are kind of average. If you have a couple extra days, you should go to Vancouver island. The city there, Victoria, is really cool, and the whole island is drop dead beautiful.

Whistler is amazing; spent lots of time there. I was also there for the winter olympics last year. definately go up there and enjoy the views. And the nice bars in the village of course!
Vancouver - if you're into hiking you should go climb the cheif in squamish or the grouse grind in west vancouver - both are average climbs of around an hour and both provide beautiful views
-you can check out the downtown core to shop but make sure you go visit Kitsilano on the other side of the bridge. check out 4th and Broadway for all the nice shops, bars, and coffee shops. In downtown Van, I would recommend heading towards English bay. Go to marble slap and get a ice cream!
-stanley park; I believe it's one of the worlds biggest urban parks. walk the sea wall and walk around the park. again, it's beautiful. There is also an aquarium in the park and you can also hire bikes and stuff
-kayaking: head up to west vancouver and do some kayaking - it's cheap and the views are beautiful. I think it's called Deep Cove. In West Vancouver you can also check out the suspension bridge. I personally don't think it's that great and it's pretty expensive to walk a big suspension bridge.
-As Nat said, if you have time get the ferry (takes a couple of hours) to Victoria and explore that area. It's a nice little city.
In England - Bath is a really nice place and a great city with a lot of history. I was actually there last summer.
Wellington is great cheers - I love this little city (minus the wind). Are you local to Wellington?

I was planning on going over to Nanaimo, as Victoria seemed a little harder to get to. I will definately try to get to all those places.
I haven't read about any ghost tours, but I will certainly look into that as I am doing a couple in Scotland aswell.

Yes, I am local to Wellington. Was born in Lower Hutt and lived there my whole life (apart from about a year where I lived in the City).
What other places do you plan to visit in the UK?
Stonehenge is not too far from Bath if your interested in that kind of thing.
And Glastonbury festival takes place towards the end of June, which isnt far from Bath either.

Nanaimo? That's funny. I lived there for around 6 months as that's where my parents immigrated to. It's a nice little place and has a nice harbour. There are some really nice wooded areas to walk around also. Head North of Nanaimo up to Parksville where there are again nice walks a big beach! Cheers, Dan.
I had noticed there was a lot of nice walks on Vancouver Island. I haven't fully looked into it yet though. As long as I am not likely to come accross any mean wildlife! I do love a bush walk though
I was going to try snorkelling with the seals, but I have seen many people say they are "pigeons of the sea". Which really wouldn't have stopped me, because I also kinda like pigeons, but I'm not so great with water...
I was planning on doing Stonehenge, not overly fussed about seeing it but seems odd not to. Will look up Glastonbury Festival too, thanks!
I am going over to Scotland after Bath, and then back to Woking for a few days and then London for a few days. The time before I go seems to be rapidly dwindling! It's now only 13 weeks.
I just hope I have everything organised by the time I go.
