If you use Tripadvisor and post a question about a private tour guide in Romania, Russia, Argentina or Chile you will very promptly receive a reply from one Tarzanldy , apparently from California, probably a woman. For instance if you inquire about a guide in Romania she will write a whole litany about her preffered tour guide, one Eduard Popescu from Medievaltours. This is a scam in which a "traveler" is suggesting various guides so they get the booking and then she gets her cut.
See, this is exactly why we take a non promo approach to all posts. Better safe than sorry...
