Hey all, I'm flying into Cairns around the 1st of July! Hoping to see the great barrier reef, whitsundays and everywhere else there is to see! Going to make my way down the east coast and eventually end up in Melbourne as iv some friends there! I'm going by myself so would be lovely to have a travelling buddy?!!

I will say there is a very good chance i'm going to be in Cairn's or the reef as i'm an avid snorkler...
I'm arriving to Australia in March but ill be there through the year with my visa.
Nice one, that would be great if you were still there by then, we could catch up for a beer,you'll know all the best spots by the time I arrive! Iv never snorkelled before so I'm really looking forward to that!! Where are you flying in to?

Me and a friend fly into Cairns on the 19th of May and are planning to try and get a bit of work there (not sure how long for... maybe a month, maybe 2 or 3 depending on what work we can find) before moving on down the coast so we may be about at the same sort of time.

Hey i get to Melbourne at the end of April and staying for 3 1/2 months, I'll be traveling up the east coast ending in cairns, and July sounds about right to me! how long have you got to get down to Melbourne? And what places you looking to stop off at on the way? (this is what im trying to figure out! i need inspiration! )

Hey Joe, That would be great if you were both there when I arrive! Are you going straight to Australia or stopping off somewhere along the way? You planning on staying for a year?
Hey Kate, Iv no plan for places along the way, I'm just going to see how it goes and chat to people over there to see what everyone suggests! I'm staying for a year so don't have any particular time that iv to be in Melbourne, I just know some people there from home so will prob make my way there if I start to get home sick!!Would be great if you were in Cairns at that time too =)
We're going to Thailand on the 20th of May for a month and may head over to Cambodia while we're there as well. Yeh the plan is to stay for a year just slowly traveling down the coast. I think we'll also visit NZ at some point as we know people who will be there, other than that we're leaving things pretty open.

I'm currently working and travelling my way around Australia until August. My big plan had been to finish my time here with a road trip down the east coast starting in July from Cairns. I have been travelling with friends until now but they are heading off home in March and so would be looking for a travel buddy/buddies!
I've family in Cairns and so have already been once since I've been here and can't wait to go back again! Would be great to meet up with follow travels and maybe see if we are all up for an east coast road trip together

Cool, Ill be in Thailand then too, going to be around that area for three months starting at the beginning of April! Are you thinking of going to Vietnam at all, I hadn't planned on going there but everyone is saying its a must see! Would be great to catch up if we're there at the same time!
