Help please! Titanic Memorial Cruise

Hi all... Can anyone help us please? We have 2 tickets for an outside cabin on the Titanic Memorial Cruise departing from Southampton on April 8th. Unfortunately we may need to cancel due to family reasons not covered by insurance. The travel company have a waiting list but are not prepared to pass them on (they want us to cancel) we even offered to pay the admin. Does anyone know where we can advertise these tickets? I do want to keep it all above board. Btw we are letting them go at cost of just under £7000. Does any one have any ideas how to best advertise these? Thanks so much!

You could try on eBay, with a "Buy it now" price so you don't get some ridiculously low offer but £7,000? A two week Caribbean cruise for 2 can cost under £3,000, including flights.

You should choose another alias though.

I do believe the idea was to take the Titanic Memorial Cruise and not one around the Caribbean. Sorry Cyberia, but maybe they had relatives who were on the Titanic and someone else may truly be interested in the tickets. A Caribbean cruise and this one are like comparing apples and oranges.

I would also check out craigslist.com as an option. I have not used it but people seem very pleased with the services.

Also, as far as usernames are concerned - Cyberia is a 1994 video game title - just sayin'...

Isa now returns this thread to it's originally scheduled topic.

Thanks guys - I think...

If I'd wanted to go to the Caribbean I would have - but as an engineer I have alwys been facinated by this ship. And Alcohol = ALlan COmes from HOLywell !

The price we are asking is cost - actually a slight loss!

Isadora. I obviously gave the Caribbean cruise as a price comparison. I've been on a few such cruises and thought they were great value for money.

The only relative I know of who was alive in 1912 was my grandmother on my father's side, and she died in 1969.

Who would spend £7,000 in memory of a relative they may not even remember or maybe never met?

Then again, someone with lots of money may want to pretend they are on the Titanic and visit 3 cemeteries when after they cross the Atlantic. It sounds like a ball.

Would you spend thousands of pounds online with someone called "Alcohol"? Cyberia has no similar negative connotations.

As I have said on so many other forums, smilies never help a poor post.

Cyberia, point made.

Alcohol - again, I think somewhere like Craigslist would be of help to you.

Titanic memorial cruise? I hope it ends better than the first Titanic cruise...
