In search for companion to explore INDIA April - May 2012

Jen_ni has indicated that this thread is about India

Hey Jenni

India alone is possible too, infact you hardly will be alone as there are soooo many people and tourists as well. If you are flexible you could find travel budys on the road too. India as a woman alone can be tiering I have to addmit, but if you satnd your ground and know how to say no things should by fine...

About April to Mai ... you are going to hit the hotest season in India! And you are planing to see the regions which are hotest as well. I would give you the advice to think about travel north at this time ... Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh or Sikim could by very nice at that time, also the highg regions of the south in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Anyway if you still want to do the traditional stuff and go down to Goa as well, I recomend going to Hampi, especialy if you like Nature!

Have fun....

Hello Jenni,

G-trotter is right.. its going to be very hot in delhi and nearby areas. temp reaches around 42-46C, But there are good places to see around in delhi. Kullu, Manali, Kashmir should have a lovely climate and are great places to visit. Varanasi is beautiful too but as g-trotter said you should be be good if you stand your grounds and just say no. its a complicated place and you have to take special care there, rest of the country is just kool. i would have recommended rajhisthan but again the climate will be hot. you can come down to mumbai check it out for a day and move to goa. goa should be hot and humid, but goa is goa.. you will have a great time there. In south Kerala should be super cool. I have never been there but heard alot.. and would love to travel down south. Place that i would want to visit most is Munnar.

I would also recommend that you plan your journey and book your tickets to travel within india in advance. traveling in trains would be the cheapest mode.

If you need any help you, let me know. I would be more than happy to help you out and would love to travel till south.

Regards,
Yasar

Dear Jen_ni,

Adding to what has already been advised, I am located in central part of India, Chattisgarh. Its a beautiful state, unexplored yet, due to its political issues in the past but now its all safe and peaceful again and open for tourists. I run a 3 Stat Resort in jagdalpur, Bastar district where you can explore Tribal people (some of them are oldest in Asia), water falls (Chitrakote fall), national parks (tiger watching), jungle safari and temples. If you are interested in these activities I can surely plan a 3-4 days itinerary for you and may be even travel along if dates permit.
You can check the property with this link -snip- and reply back if you need further information.

Regards,

Kartik

hey Jen_ni,

I would suggest to visit the Southern India despite how the weather is gonna be!

Hill stations are quite a handful if its nature that you are looking for! But the highlight is definetly temples & architecture spread all across South and of course, south India is surrounded by coastline.

Bon Voyage!

If you come to Ancient Madurai city of Tamil Nadu State, South India, i am able to help you

Hi Jen-ni, any chance of you bringing this trip slightly earlier, say 21st March that week?

cheers
Erin
