Hello there travelers! I'm a single US male/34 yrs old. I would love to schedule a trip to Argentina later on in the year. The problem is that I really can't convince any of my friends to go with me. My job allows me to take a lot of time off and theirs do not. Looks like i'm riding solo on this one but I have no idea of how to even begin. I'm pretty sure my starting point is going to be Buenos Aires but I'd like to take full advantage of the country while I'm there. I'm interested in taking in all the cultural and natural/man made wonders I can fit in in 2 weeks. Any feedback or tips would be greatly appreciated.

You won't have any problems traveling alone in Argentina. There is a ton to see and do so you'll have to plan a fair bit. Also with only two weeks you'll have to either be flexible in terms of timing or pay a significant premium to book flights within the country ahead of time.
But natural places to go to see wonders
Iguazu Falls, Perito Moreno Glacier and (glacier national park), Penninsula Valdes (wildlife watching - especially whales), Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego National Park.
The first three will give you the biggest eyeful for a short trip but Tierra Del Fuego is a wonderful trip too - but with just two weeks you'd be traveling too much and seeing too little to get all this in - heck I barely did it all in more than 2 months!
While I could easily pass on Bariloche, I wouldn't skip Mendoza.
Locally from BA - the Tigre Delta is well worth at least a day trip (takes about 30 minutes to get there) then do a boat tour of the delta or rent one of the houses (cheaply) and spend the night out there - just gorgeous. Locals go there for the weekends (think their version of the Hamptons) but it's cheap and empty during the week.
Other good short trips from there include popping over to Uruguay (about a 90 minute ferry) to see the charming little town of Colonia, and or going to Montevideo which has great food, amazing architecture and is a very friendly little place.
In BA you'll want to go see some of the various neighborhoods, take in a Boca Jrs soccer game if you can (you can usually get seats fairly priced even just a day in advance), and visit Recolleta.

Further to the above, Rosario is an interesting place to visit for a couple of days - if you do go there, do a cycling tour with as it's a great way to see the city.
The Argentinian long-distance buses are fantastic - you can expect fully reclining seats, pillows, blankets, personal TV screen and a decent meal with wine, so they are worth considering as an alternative to flying. I flew up to Iguacu from BA and got the 18 hour bus journey back - it was great and I wished I had got the bus both ways.
While in BA don't miss El Desnivel restaurant in San Telmo, and try to catch some late-night tango in Plaza Dorrego (also San Telmo) as it's a great atmosphere.
