Hi all!
i am heading out to Perth at the end of June 11 then traveling the west coast! im meeting a friend out there but we will probably go our separate ways as he is traveling with his girlfriend and i dont want to be a gooseberry lol! I'm looking for advice on traveling alone as its a very daunting thought but exciting at the same time as i have never done this kind of thing before! How easy is it to meet up with fellow backpackers and maybe travel with a few of them? has anyone done this? or is anyone heading that way at the same time in the same boat?
Hey man, I'm going over at a similar time. Got my flights booked from Manchester, UK, to Sydney, via two days in Dubai. Landing on 12th June and thinking I'm going to shoot up north to Cairns then Darwin to chase some warmth.
Going it alone is a scary thought, but like you say, exciting.
I'll be in gold coast 7th to 16th June, travelling alone too.. Planning to visit some themeparks, and get some surf lessons.. Doubt our path will cross, but ah have funnn! =) And if you somehow find yourself in gold coast during that time, let me know, im looking for a travel buddy to hang out a day or two at the park/ town/ jungle/ malls together.. Actually mate I might be there soon after those dates. I land on the 12th, will have a week or two in Sydney, then make my way up to Brisbane where I know someone to spend a week or so with. Then I'll be travelling along the East coast all the way up to Cairns, I think. This is all speculative though as I actually don't really have a plan. I'm sure we'll end up meeting a helluva lot of other travellers though.
