hey every one me and some friends are planning at 6 month trip to asia were are just wondering on the work out there and if it is worth it
we are alos thinking about budget as we hope to travel all over asia and not just in the same spot any advice would help alot.
thanks paulo
I dont think its easy to get work out there, generally you would need a skill? Also you won't get paid very much if you are thinking bar/hotel work...you are a qualified diver then i guess you could do your master training and become an instructor? That would pay well!
Budget £800-£1000 a month that is to include food, transports, accomodation and trips..you probably wont spend that much a month but at least it gives you a little to play with! I went for 5 weeks in january and spent £500, i ate 2- 3 meals a day (local and delicious!), went on trips, one day fun dive, etc etc!
A typical route most would go - Thailand (start bangkok) head up north for chiang mai, chiang rai, pai then on over to laos make your view to vietnam, cambodia then head back to thailand and head south to all the islands - make sure you check your season, im not sure what the islands are like during monsoon season but i am guessing the rains will interfer with transport!
Hi!
what do you mean by asia? middle east, south, central, south east, east asia (china / korea), japan, russia, mongolia?
cheers
On Singapore Airlines, be sure to take some free postcards while on board. They'll even pay the postage and mail them for you.
Thanks for the advice much appreciated
I learned a few things too, thanks
