Hi guys i will be travelling to oz in september and was wondering if there is many gay travellers and if people out there accept gays/lesbians

Hey, I couldn't comment on that but im sure there's lots of gay people out there.
Don't worry about how people are, I'm sure they'll be fine and if they would be so shallow to judge someone on who they are and not how they why care, their problem not yours!

And check out Oxford Street in Sydney or Prahran/St Kilda in Melbourne while you're there!!
Australia is an incredibly diverse country especially culturally. I wouldn't worry about homophobia or anything, I've been out for a few years and haven't come across anything homophobic. People tend to grow out of that crap after high school. I'm always reading articles on homophobia and hate crimes in the US and stuff but that doesn't happen in OZ. We're still fighting for equal rights, but most countries are, and while we are an incredibly accepting country our politicians are apparently stuck in the dark ages. Over half the country are crying out for equality but the politicians have other things to do apparently.
India is opening to LGBT travel...
there are many gay pubs and parties in Delhi and mumbai ....
