Soes anyone know how easy it is to get from Singapore to borneo??
Borneo, the northern bit which you will be wanting to go to, is in a country called Malaysia. You probably wont need a visa for there unless you are Israeli, in which case you wont be going.
If you're UK citizen, you won't need a visa to go to Sabah (which is part of Malaysia) for a couple of days visit.
You can fly from Singapore to Sandakan via Kota Kinabalu using budget airline such as AirAsia, and from Sandakan travel to Sepilok where the main orang utan sanctuary is. That's 2 flights to take, and mind that AirAsia is a budget airline to operates point to point, so you'll need to allow sufficient time for flight change.
You can go from Kota Kinabalu to Sepilok, the journey takes around 5 hours. That may be preferable if you don't want to linger around airport with huge connection time.
It is considerable amount of effort to head there for a couple of days just to see the orang utans. Why not consider spending a few extra days to explore Kota Kinabalu and its environs?

Seplilok has half of humanity turning up wanting to look like the woman on that advert with the baby Orang. Prepare to be disappointed. Go to Kuching if you're on a lightening strike.

Well, it is a long way to get there for to just see the orang-utan. Hey, you could consider going to Singapore Zoo and see their resident orang-utans. There are quite a number of them there.
