Hello!
That's a good time frame: gives you plenty of time to get to places that are difficult to reach. I travelled a lot in the area; if you have a look at my latest trip there (dec 2008), that's about what you can do in a month. I'd have liked to have more time, though.
Re travelling solo: no worries, unless you act very unresponsibly (like getting into cars with strangers, walking the streets drunk, etc), you'll be safe.
Thank you so much for the reply!
Could you please give me the link to the blog post you told about? I can't find it :S
Also, I'm a bit confused about Paraguay, since I don't know much about that country. Would you recommend me to go there?
Paraguay is wonderful... it's very quiet and non-touristy. Nothing about it is particularly spectacular, but all these not-so-spectular things combine in a very interesting way. Travelling to (and especially, through) Paraguay requires a flexible schedule, though, and a lot of patience at times. You have the former, so I'd recommend going there.
As to my trip, an outline can be found here: http://www.travellerspoint.com/member_map.cfm?itinid=174409&tripid=174409
