Photo weirdness.

I uploaded a photo . I had to rotate it when I uploaded, and it looks fine in the thumbnail, but when I look at it full size it isn't rotated. I've tried deleting and re-uploading a few times, as well as rotating it on my computer and uploading the new, correctly positioned one. No matter what I do, it keeps showing skewed.

It looks fine here. Maybe a caching problem, either on our side or on yours?

Note exactly the same problem but because the title is photo weirdness...

I uploaded 4 Kiva photos, connected them all to the mapping system and TPF blog - they all showed up perfectly. When Michael went in to correct the coordinates, one of the photos was completely missing. It showed up in the blog itself but was no longer in the gallery nor showed as a pic on the map. I ended up uploading it a second time so he could map coordinates and have it show on the map. (Hope that makes sense...)

I still blame ghosts in the machine... right up there with the missing now found and fixed stickied thread.

Seems to be the issue. Cleared my temporary internet files, and bingo, it was fine.

Isa - perhaps the photo didn't have the check for showing in the gallery?

Greg

Could have been Greg. Though I am pretty sure I only unchecked the "allow featuring" box. But, better go back and recheck the gallery again.

D'oh! Yup - only one of the four where I unchecked both boxes. Thanks Greg! That will teach me to multitask.

Greg, I think I saw some code changes being committed last week specifically regarding rotating images, so that might explain the weirdness here requiring the removal of temp internet files. This was an Ozzie development though, so getting Peter to double check all is okay!

Okay, so the changes I saw coming through aren't live yet, and were created to avoid exactly this problem you describe Greg!
