Pillow?

Hi there

I sometimes take one and am often grateful that I have, as I'm quite fussy about my pillow and find it hard to sleep if it's not right. As you are overlanding and not spending much time in hostels it sounds like a good idea to take one. The one I have is tiny and can easily be stuffed into backpacks:

Take a pillow case and stuff with clothes.

I've never bring a pillow with me per se, but you could consider bringing an inflatable pillow? I've also seen people nicked the wee pillow given on long-haul flights...

If I'm taking my car to wherever I am going, I always have a pillow and a blanket either in the backseat or in the trunk. its just in case it gets too cold or i get too sleepy to drive or the hotel/motel pillow is not that good for sleeping.

Those scrunchable pillows available in camping stores are great. They roll up into a neat little bundle, but expand into a very comfy cushion. Love mine. I didn't think I would even need it, but I am so glad I had mine this summer.

Take a pillow case and stuff with clothes.

I take a small 'rucksack liner' that I keep clothes in.
It's waterproof and cost me £2 from army surplus.

Agreed with those using just the case. Of course, doubles as another bag.

Took a pillow once, waste of time and space. Never again. A wool jumper/pullover folded in 1/4 does me just fine.

I'll hop in here and second the suggestion of an inflatable pillow with a nice soft pillow case, really nice on long haul flights (just did the 16+ hour Johannesburg-Atlanta) You can adjust the inflation to whatever situation. Feel the relaxation. Not to mention rejuvenation.
